As we ponder Mother’s Day, we remember with fondness our own mother, Joan—the matriarch and strength of our family. She continues to be an inspiration in all that we do.
Now, we find ourselves in that same role: the light for the next generation. Motherhood is a profound privilege—messy, magical, and everything in between.
Real estate is a demanding profession—there’s no 9-5, and certainly no weekends off. Motherhood, too, never stops. We strive every day to balance both roles with grace, knowing there’s no such thing as a perfect mom, but a million ways to be a good one.
To all our fellow moms, here are a few reminders this Mother’s Day:
You can’t pour from an empty cup—care for yourself first
Schedule your priorities, not just your time
Say “no” and mean it
Get outside—little ones need it, and so do you
Let serendipity in—go with the flow when life throws you curveballs
Build your village—ask for help when you need it
Exercise—it’s not a luxury, it’s a necessity
Bend the rules—you’re the boss
And if you’re not a mom, are hoping to be one, trying to become one, or mothering in ways that don’t always get recognized—this day is for you too. It’s a celebration of nurture, strength, and showing up with love, in whatever form that takes.
So here’s to all of you showing up—whether for your children, your community, your work, or yourself. Be proud. You’re doing better than you think.
