We are so excited and proud to be participating once again in the Flamborough Santa Claus Parade this weekend on Saturday, November 29 — a cherished community tradition that truly captures the magic of the holiday season.
Kicking off at 6:30pm sharp, the parade will begin on Hamilton Street at Rockhaven Lane and wind its way through the heart of beautiful downtown Waterdown, before ending at the corner of Hamilton Street and Parkside Drive. As always, this festive evening promises to be filled with music, dazzling lights, and that unmistakable WOW factor as floats and marching bands lead the way for Santa’s grand arrival. It’s a spectacle guaranteed to delight kids and adults alike — and we can’t wait to celebrate alongside our community.
Planning Your Perfect Parade Experience
To make the most of your evening, keep these helpful tips in mind:
-
Both sides of the street along the parade route are open to the general public on a first-come, first-served basis.
-
Feel free to bring lawn chairs and settle into your favourite viewing spot early — or let the little ones enjoy the classic parade experience by sitting on the curb (please remember they must stay seated for safety).
-
Be sure to dress warmly and bring blankets, as temperatures can drop quickly once the sun goes down.
-
We recommend arriving early to secure prime viewing locations.
Important Note: Although the bands and walkers begin from Memorial Park, the official start of the parade is at Hamilton Street & Rockhaven Lane. To ensure you see the entire parade from beginning to end, set up your viewing spot somewhere south of this intersection. If you prefer a quieter area, there is often more space available toward the end of the route.
Parking & Road Closures
Please plan accordingly when traveling to the parade:
-
Streets will be closed starting at 6:00pm sharp and will remain closed until the final float (Santa!) crosses the finish line.
-
Parking is available in and around the parade route, but please note:
-
If you park within the route boundaries, you will not be able to leave until roads re-open.
-
Vehicles parked outside the route will not be permitted to cross the parade path until the event concludes.
-
-
Expect delays when exiting and be mindful of pedestrian traffic at all times.
This parade is more than just a festive evening — it’s a celebration of tradition, togetherness, and the spirit of the season. We’re honoured to be part of such a joyful event once again and look forward to spreading smiles, cheer, and holiday magic throughout our community.
Thank you for joining us — and most importantly...
ENJOY THE PARADE!
